Don't install into c:\ ! Use Program files and dedicated folders. Also, for a software like this,a reboot should not be needed! Please try to implement your software this way.

Add network drive support

When adding music, there is no ability to browse the network for music on other computers. Please add the ability to choose network shares. It also will not let you choose shares that have been mapped to a drive letter.

A 'smart search' option

An advanced automated search where the program scans all the drives chosen by the user, and what specific file type and size limit they wish. Something along those lines would be fantastic.

please add an option : view by "file name"

I use to save music in files, for example: "Doors - Best of", "Adele - 21" etc. A good idea is to add an option to database view "By file name". There is also a problem with greek characters in some files (looks like :chinese ideograms")

I would rather be able to select the type of file that I want to look for instead of deleting the types that I don't want. I hope those show up when I want to do a different search.

Drag & Drop

Im not sure why there is no simple "drag & drop" feature to drop songs simply into the database, seems quite a typical thing to have in modern software such as this, folder navigation can be quite screen cancerous at times.

What in the world could this software be doing that forces a reboot before it can be used? Are you installing some weird spy drivers? Maybe a rootkit? Other than spyware, I can't imagine what you could be doing that requires a reboot on...

The GUI needs improving - it looks boring and old

The GUI needs a face lift. Add some skins so that those who purchase the product can match the programs GUI to their theme.

Allow UNC paths as well as drive letters

AMSD will only scan drive letters. I keep my media on a NAS shared as "\\MyNAS\media". To use AMSD I have to permanently map that share to a drive letter.

Scanning folders/sub-folders ignores .OGG files

.OGG files seem to be added only if explicitly selected. They are not found when adding a folder/sub-folders.

.OGG tags are not read, imported or used

My media files are stored in the open .OGG format rather than proprietary ones such as .MP3 or .WMA. AMSD reads those .OGG files, sometimes, but fails to extract the tags from those files.
